Wheel and Tire Stand Q&A

• If a site survey cannot be performed; is the USG open to conducting a joint VTC with industry?

No, due to time constraints we will not be able to conduct a joint VTC.

• Is there any existing equipment in the place that the new equipment is planned to go and can photos of the proposed area and its’ dimensions (LxWxH) be provided?

See attached photos. There should be no issue with room for the proposed area, the original area where the old Universal stand was located took up a 10ft 9” x 2ft 9” area.

• Can the ceiling height be provided as well as the height of any overhead ducting, conduit, lighting, or fans on the path to the proposed area of the new equipment and can photos be provided?

See attached photos. All ducting, lights, and piping is roughly 14 – 15 ft in height.

• Are there any hanger doorways, doorways, openings between the delivery point and the proposed area the new equipment will be located. If so, how many, what is the type of opening and what are the doorway dimensions LxWxH and can photos be provided for each?

See attached photos. There is roll up door available to use which is roughly 15ft(W) x 15ft (H).

• Can we be provided photos of the current electrical service panel, the fuse style, and/or the disconnect of the 120/208-230V PH: 1 HZ: 50/60 facility electrical service?

See attached photos.

• Will existing wiring be present to connect the new equipment to the proposed area of the new equipment?

Wiring from the machine will just needed connected to the wall socket/box that is already provided.

• Concerning the P/N 11-145 for C-130 MLG; can your team relook this PN. Historically; the technical data for the C130 MLG should be below. Can you clarify with your customer the exact technical details; as this data needs to be confirmed before the correct Wheel Adapter Ring can be offered? In reference to the PN: 11-145 NSN: 1630-01-587-4710, this is a C-130 MLG rim. This information was pulled directly from the wheel assembly its self. This is also an assembly that uses only 9 bolts.

Aircraft Type: C130 Landing Gear: MLG Manufacturer: ABS Manufacturer PN: 9550616-1 Bolt circle diameter: 412,75 No. of bolts: 11 Width of bolt-head: 11/16"

•Concerning the Universal Torquing Station at the facility; can it be clarified if this machine is still in use, how it is attached/configured and if the customer wants to use the existing UTS for this particular assembly stand? Furthermore, we need to know if the shop would like to keep the current setup or are open to having the two overhead beam setup to attach the Universal Torquing Station to configure the Wheel Build-up Stand together or if the customer would like the machines separate? We haven’t used the torque machine in some time as the calibration is out of date. It wouldn’t matter to us either way if the Universal Stand is mounted to the torque machine or as 2 separate pieces. With already having the overhead beams in our section the configuration doesn’t matter too much.
•Concerning the Forklift & Flatbed Trailer needed to transport/load & unload item; the SOW outlines a forklift to unload the equipment from the truck; which can easily be requested and performed by our team. Can it be clarified if a forklift will be provided by the USG or if a forklift will be necessary during installation and commissioning, as the RFQ does not specify this in the scope of work? Can it be confirmed if the assumption is correct or incorrect, as it is a big difference to provide the unloading verses to provide the forklift for the whole duration of the installation and commissioning period? The contractor must supply the forklift for the entire duration of the contract.

• Concerning the 90 days delivery period; it is manageable to have the equipment delivered RAF Mildenhall within the required delivery date; meaning only shipped to the UK. However, the unusual power requirement and installation may require additional time. Can you let us know if it is possible to account for additional time in shipment (say ~100 Days or sooner) and provide a separate but reasonable time for installation assistance, commissioning, and training (say no later than ~60 days after delivery)? There would be no issue on our end to changes the dates being able to receive training would be great. The only issue I see is on the financial side, we may be constricted by our current budget allocation.
