Statement of Work

(SOW)

Steris Steam Sterilizer at

Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath 5 March 2024

1.1 Mission: The primary mission of the 48th Medical Group (48 MDG), is to ensure the improvement to patient safety and surgical efficiency. Our department can meet such standards by replacing our current Steris steam sterilizers with brand new units, this is due to the fact there have been excessive breakdowns to our current sterilizers. During the past fiscal year, only one of both units have been fully functional, the other unit often breaks down at least twice a quarter. The continual breakdown of either one or both units leads to work stoppages, delays, and ultimately cancellations of surgical procedures, to ensure that the 48th MDG is meeting its goal of providing excellent patient care, replacements of these old, outdated and malfunctioning sterilizers is warranted.
