Attachment 4 ‐ Questions and Answers
1. Is it possible to install a waste container to deposit the recalled material?
Yes, outside the building and cover to avoid that wind can spread the debris.
2. Is there anything that needs to be changed in the SOW to include fixing tiles in N307 or any other rooms?
There is nothing new in room 307, The kitchen/bathroom areas are now included to replace existing broken tiles. See question 6.
3. Will the Government be providing any tiles for this for contract.
Generally no. For the dorm rooms the tiles must be supplied by the contractor.
However, to replace existing broken tiles in the kitchen/bathroom area the Government will supply them. See question 6.
4. Can you provide any more guidance on how the rooms will need to be staggered for work?
Rooms 301/302 will be the first couple to be performed, once they will be finished another couple of rooms will be provided basis in availability.
5. It was mentioned in the site visit that one side of the hallway should be done and then the other. Is this mandatory? Can you elaborate on this some more?
Yes, it is mandatory, because we have people living in the rooms which the corridor serves and they have to access to their rooms. In other words, the corridor carpet could be removed in one phase, but the clean the carpet glue from the tiles the contractor needs to do that in two phases, half of the corridor first and then the other part, to grant access to the rooms users.
6. Which work to be accomplish in the kitchen/bathroom area under this contract?
In the original PWS the kitchen/bathroom were not included in the contract, however during the site visit we find out in the kitchen area of room 307, existing floor tiles broken. So, It was determined to replace, under this contract the existing broken floor tiles in the kitchen/bathroom areas. These floor tiles will be supplied by the Government and the contractor must include in their costs proposal replacing them.
The exact number of tiles is not known, but there will be no more than 15. There are 5 kitchen areas and 5 bathroom areas. Every couple of rooms have a kitchen and a bathroom area shared.
