b. Protection Systems with Falls of Height

c. Steel Auxiliary Structure Painting

d. Auxiliary Means of Lifting and Working at Height

1. SCOPE OF THE WORK: The work consists of the assembly and installation of three of protection systems against falls from height. Inside building#121 and inside building#946 the systems will be anchored to an auxiliary metal structure attached to the existing structure. Outside building#121, the system will be a line prepared for the exterior area and will be anchored to an auxiliary structure to achieve height. Providing all labor, materials, facilities, transportation, equipment and services, according to the plans in Moron Air Base with the following requirements:

a. Metal Structure:

Metallic Anchor Structure (Interior Building#121 & Interior Building#946):

Supply and installation of metallic structure for anchoring safety line, composed of UPN 100 profiles, welded/bolted to the existing frame structure.

Use standard rolled steel profiles according to the provisions of the UNE EN 10025 standard, type S 275 JR. The anchors and screws will be of the same material, color and finish as the structure to be installed.

Welding shall be made in such a way that they are flush with surface and with a smooth finish. The realization of the welds, welding inspection and tests, will be done in accordance with the CTE DB-SE-A. The welded joints shall be made in such a way as to prevent the deformation of the parts to be joined.

Auxiliary Metallic Structure (Exterior Building#121):

Supply and installation of metallic auxiliary structure formed by two poles joined together to achieve necessary height where the safety line will be fixed. The length of the same will be 14 meters and is composed of profiles HEB100, HEB180 and IPE 140.

Use standard rolled steel profiles according to the provisions of the UNE EN 10025 standard, type S 275 JR.

The anchors and screws will be of the same material, color and finish as the structure to be installed.

Welding shall be made in such a way that they are flush with the surface and with a smooth finish. The realization of the welds, welding inspection and tests, will be done in accordance with the CTE DB-SE-A. The welded joints shall be made in such a way as to prevent the deformation of the parts to be joined.

b. Protection System Against Falling Height:

Suministro e instalación de dos líneas de vida sujetas a estructura metálica auxiliar de acuerdo a la siguiente normativa:

Supply and installation of safety lines attached to auxiliary metallic structure according to the following regulations

- Norma UNE 795/2012. “Protección contra caídas de altura. Dispositivos de anclaje.

Requisitos y ensayos"

- Especificación CEN/TS 16415:2013 “Equipos de protección individual contra caídas.

Dispositivos de anclaje. Recomendaciones relativas a los dispositivos de anclaje para ser utilizados por varias personas al mismo tiempo”.

It will be a system capable of stopping the fall of workers who are performing work at a height equal to or greater than 1.80 m.

Building#121, interior: will be a stainless steel line that will cross the bay along 23 meters in length. It will be fixed to the auxiliary metallic structure installed for this purpose, with a UPN profile so that it leaves free the space of the folding doors of the bay and the bridge crane. It will be formed by two harnesses and two retractable blocks, allowing the support of two workers per line.

Building#121, exterior: will be a stainless steel line for the exterior area of vehicle repair. The length of it will be 14 meters. It will be fixed to an auxiliary structure to achieve the necessary height.

Building#946, interior: Double system, one for each working lane, each safety line will have a length of 15 meters and will be fixed to the metallic structure designed to hold it. And it will be formed by two harnesses and four retractable blocks, allowing the support of two workers for each line.

The material used in the fall protection systems of height will be:

Terminal anchor: It will be screwed on the top plate of the pole or the special plate for walls with 4 screws. It will be made of AISI 316 stainless steel and will be provided with a pin screw to connect one end of the safety line.

Anchorage with shock absorber: It will be screwed on the top plate of the pole or to the special plate for walls.

It will be made of AISI 316 stainless steel and will be provided with an absorber spring pin with an eyelet for the connection of the other end of the safety life.

Intermediate anchor: It will be screwed on the top plate of the pole or the special plate for walls with 2 screws. It will be made of AISI 316 stainless steel and will allow the sliding carriage to pass without the need to undo it.

Traction spring: It will be made of AISI 316 stainless steel with holes in the ends to connect it to the different anchorages.

With it we will get extra cushioning when the safety line acts.

Translational carriage: Sliding through the steel cable, connecting the worker to the safety line. It will be made of AISI 316 stainless steel and will be provided with a mechanism to insert or remove it safely at any point on the safety line.

Safety line: Made with AISI 316 7x19+0 stainless steel cable with a diameter of 10 mm. The ends shall be terminated by an approved jaw system and a final cable protector. A closed fork-fork tensioner will be installed at one end.

Miscellaneous elements: Each safety line carries elements necessary for its correct installation and operation, such as: Tensioners, terminals for fixing and regulation, protectors, signs...

c. Steel Auxiliary Structure Painting:

Auxiliary steel structures to be installed, will be applied a two-component epoxy-polyamide primer with zinc phosphate, plus intermediate and final layer of two component acrylic polyurethane enamel.

d. Auxiliary Devices for Lifting and Height Working:

- Construction waste management.

- Machinery for hoisting and mobilization for auxiliary structures and systems against falling.

- Auxiliary means necessary for working at height.
