FA557024Q0012 Stukeley Playground – Questions

1. Can drawings be provided? Need to know ground conditions, site layout and access, ingress points etc. to quote accurately.

• No drawings available. Ground conditions etc can be inspected during site visit.

2. How and during what hours will staff completing the works be able to access the base?

• Monday to Friday 0900 – 1600.

• Attempt will be made to have an ACL (Access Control Letter) on the base for contractors to access through the gate subject to approval by Security Forces. In the event this is not possible, Stukeley will organize sponsoring on of contractors for work to be carried out.

• An ACL will require Contractors to provide the following information NLT 3 weeks prior to start date of construction:

o Full Name o Date of Birth o Place of Birth o Nationality o Drivers License/Passport Number (whichever form of picture ID intending to use) o Home address o Contact Telephone number

• Should an ACL not be successful all contractors are required to bring a picture ID

(drivers license/Passport) to be sponsored onto the base.

3. Information required on delivery of equipment and stock to site – hrs and address.

• The activity will be able to provide a storage space/area as determined with on site coordination prior to delivery. Items left are responsibility of contractor, fencing, coverings, etc for protection/safety of these items are contractor’s responsibility to provide.

• Delivery drivers/contractors responsible to load/unload items and take away any packaging generated from items for disposal.

• Delivery hours on site Monday – Friday 0900 – 1600. 48 hours’ notice required for delivery. All delivery drivers to bring picture ID (driver’s license/passport) to be sponsored on to base.

4. Is there an expected completion date? We cannot calculate work timeframe without knowledge of working days and hrs work can take place in. E.g. Mon-Fri 9-5pm.

• Work to take place between hours of 0900 – 1600 Monday to Friday.

• Works ideally completed within 2 weeks.

5. Are there any tree protection orders in place? Do trees obstruct any of the area?

• No, there are no trees in direct area playground to be constructed.

6. Has a risk assessment already been carried out? Would we be required to carry one out prior to starting work and once work complete?

• All required US assessments have been carried out.

• Contractor required to carry out their own RAMS.

7. Would we be expected to coordinate an inspection with UK building control (building regulation enforcement in the U.K.) or is function between the requiring activity and relevant base authority e.g. Safety?

• No UK building control inspection required.

• Safety/CE are involved with the project and up to speed.

• Pre/during/post construction will be carrying out walk throughs.

8. Is the 20-year guarantee required to be insurance backed?

• No.
