Statement of Objectives For Kadena Clinic’s Artwork upgrade 06 Aug 2015

1.0 Overall Objectives:

To upgrade 239 pieces of outdated artwork throughout the Kadena Clinic, Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan. The government will select the vendor who provides the most highly rated artwork and theme for the clinic environment, based on the bid samples provided with the proposal, and the subjective views and opinions of an appointed panel of officials representing both the 18th Medical Group and 18th Contracting Squadron. The selected artwork will include photography representative of the Japanese culture. The artwork must inspire tranquility to patients and staff members at the clinic, while being artistically tasteful.

2.0 Contract Objectives:

a. The vendor will present an art package with a sampling of the pieces. The vendor must provide at least 20 samples.

b. The vendor will provide art work pieces approximate to the existing sizes. Please see listing of current art work and sizes provided (labeled CID AF 243 Medical/Dental Clinic) to include security mounting.

c. All pieces should be frameless and brushed aluminum with float mounts.

4.0 Logistics Objectives:

a. Establish a clear schedule with projected dates to provide the Kadena clinic with a plan to deliver and install the 239 pieces of artwork.

b. The vendor will remove the existing artwork from the walls at the clinic and will coordinate with the medical logistics warehouse NCOIC to move those artwork pieces to the MTF’s warehouse for disposition.

c. Work hours will be from Monday through Friday 0730-1630 to install artwork. Vendor selected will not disrupt patient care.

d. Approved artwork should be installed no later than 31 December 2015.
