About this file
This document is a specification sheet for a handheld rechargeable spectrum analyzer sought by the 36 CS (likely a military communications squadron). The required spectrum analyzer must have a frequency range of 9 kHz to 8 GHz, with high sensitivity (< -141 dBm at 1 HZ, and < -161 dBm with preamplifier). Additional key specifications include low measurement uncertainty (< 1 dB), an internal tracking generator with VSWR bridge and built-in DC voltage supply, and a rugged, splash-proof housing for field use.
The device must support comprehensive measurement functions for transmitter system maintenance, including power measurements on pulsed signals, channel power measurements, and distance-to-fault measurements. It should also have the capability to save measurement results on an SD card. These detailed requirements suggest the 36 CS needs a highly specialized, robust spectrum analyzer for technical field operations, likely in a military or communications infrastructure maintenance context.
