MEMORANDUM FOR ALL INTERESTED PARTIES

FROM: 36 CONS/PKB

Bldg. 22026 Unit 14040

Andersen AFB, Yigo, GU 96929

SUBJECT: Responses to Questions/Requests for Information Submitted FA524021Q0032:

The following questions have been submitted by interested parties. All questions and answers are included as follows:

Q: Are there any additional salient characteristics or manufacturing information able to be provided regarding the Andersen AFB approved Nautical Blue carpet?

A: No manufacturing information is available to provide. Vendor will have to source and match existing.

Q: Do you know if the product is available and in local stock on Guam?

A: Cannot confirm any carpet availability on Guam.

Q: Can you clarify what and where the tack boards are to be replaced?

A: Just around the edges to secure the carpet in place, unless tack boards are not required to secure the carpet to the concrete and it can be done via glue.

Q: Does this requirement need vinyl baseboards included with the carpeting?

A: Yes, vinyl baseboards are to be replaced in the same manner as the previous ones after they are removed. The current baseboards are vinyl and 4” in height.

Q: If yes, what height do the vinyl baseboards need to be?

A: 4” minimum, 6” maximum.

Q: There are additional walls not on the provided floor plan. Is there an updated floor plan with the new walls and their dimensions?

A: Yes, please see attached document provided from Civil Engineering.

Q: There is tiling in the area near the bathrooms, do you need any of this area to be carpeted?

A: No area with tiling will require carpet. Only rooms that have carpet will need to be replaced.

Q: After removal of the existing carpet, if there are cracks or chips discovered in the concrete underneath, do you require this to be patched (included in the cost)?

A: No, to our knowledge and from previous assessments, there are no cracks that need repaired.
