About this file

This is a Sources Sought notice issued by the 766th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron (766 ESS) for market research purposes to identify potential sources for a Waste Accumulation Point to be provided to the 15AMXS. The notice is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation; however, responses will assist the Government in identifying capable sources and determining appropriate acquisition strategies.

The requirement is for one complete prefabricated, weatherproof steel building unit engineered to withstand minimum 120 mph wind loads. The structure must measure between 26-28 feet in width and a maximum of 10 feet in depth, with two internal partitions creating three separate rooms. All walls and partitions must be constructed with 2-hour fire-rated materials and include full insulation. The building requires two double doors and one single man door (or alternatively, three double doors), each opening to the outside and rated as hurricane-proof equivalent to 120 mph winds, with steel access ramps of minimum 54-inch width for each door. The flooring must be standard galvanized steel grating with a built-in 6-inch deep spill containment sump featuring a dedicated drain port with cap. All interior electrical components, including explosion-proof lighting in each of the three rooms, must meet explosion-proof specifications. Additional required systems include a climate control system with explosion-proof exhaust fan, an exterior-mounted NEMA-rated load center box, a static grounding system with rod and internal lugs, and an integrated dry chemical fire suppression system. An example photograph of a similar structure is provided as reference.
