FA520923Q0072 Questions and Answers 13 Sep 2023

Question 1: Regarding Note1 in Attachment 1 - Specifications, it states that " The machine must be able to be repaired on site within 5 days of notification." Does this mean the repair must be completed within 5 days?

Answer: Depending on the defects identified or repair parts lead times, there might be additional days that are needed. Therefore, contractor must have the equipment at least inspected within the 5-day timeframe and provide the best course of action for repair.

Question 2: According to Attachment 1 - Specifications, it mentions a 1-year warranty for the machine.

Does this mean repair after 1 year, repairs will not be free of charge?

Answer: The primary concern is that the machine is covered under warranty for at least one year. The contractor can propose different warranty options if needed.

Question 3: The machine includes a 1-year warranty, but some of the tools and wear parts come with a 6-month warranty. Does this meet your requirements?

Answer: As stated in question 2, a 1-year warranty is needed for the machine. If wear and tear parts for the machine have a separate warranty period, i.e., the blade only has a 6-month warranty, that will be acceptable. Please annotate if there are different warranty periods for the proposed machine and parts.

Question 4: After lifting off the product by cargo crane truck, could end-user possibly arrange the forklift 5t class to deliver to last one mile of the customer’s destination.

Answer: The government can provide a forklift to move the machine to its destination.
