2. Para 1.1.4.1 – Automated Maintenance and Repair Database for the DMLSS, is it up and running, ready to be provided to the Contractor?
A. Yes.
3. Para 1.1.4.11 – Are all the pubs an applicable documents listed in Appendix C available in the Technical Library?
A. Yes
4. Para 1.1.5.1.2.2.1 – (Should either the Contractor's or the Hospital's experience with any specific unit(s) indicate that additional work or shorter frequencies between preventive maintenance inspections are required, that experience should be the basis for a revised preventive maintenance requirement for the specific unit(s). The Preventive Maintenance plan should also be changed to reflect this revision. ) In the case of either a reduction or increase in the requirement, will the contract be amended to reflect the difference? No mention of that.
A. Changes to frequency will not be made during contract—PM is based on manufacturer recommendations. Government personnel may do inspections and if found that contractor is not meeting the required technical specs in accordance with guidelines would equate to additional PM work accomplished by the offeror (TSgt Bussie/16 Aug 08).
5. Para 1.1.5.1.5.2.1.3 – Is food service equipment and other equipment US or Japanese? Appendix E does not list manufacturers. Appendix E also indicates all equipment is in bldg 4145. What about the other buildings?
A. Food service equipment is mostly manufactured by US vendor, such as Hobart, Champion, ICE-o’matick and etc. Other buildings are also included in Appendix E.
6. Para 1.1.5.2.8.1 – Requires an EPA trained individual. Can this cost be included in the bid price?
A. Yes. However, the training cost is not subject to any adjustment, separate payment or reimbursement from CLIN X003. The Contractor may also employ EPA trained individual by subcontract if necessary.
7. Para 1.2.1 - (The Quality Control System shall encompass all tasks described herein and those contained in the Contractor's proposal as a substitute for Government inspection and testing before tender for acceptance.) What does this mean????
A. The contractor’s quality assurance systems shall enable the Government to rely on the contractor to accomplish all inspection and testing needed to ensure that supplies or services conform to the requirements of this contract, although the Government reserves the right to inspect or test any supplies or services that have been tendered for acceptance.
8. Phase-in/Phase-Out Procedures, Para 1.2.3.6.2, Para 1.2.3.6.2.2, and Para 1.2.3.6.2.2.1 – Are these paragraphs in the current contract?
