1. How many positions is this contract for?

a. Please review Paragraph 1 of the PWS.

2. Will the employees be required to work during clinic down days (i.e. PACAF Family days or training days)

a. 35 MDG will no longer close on PACAF Family day. The contracted employees will be required to work as stated in section 1.7 of the PWS.

3. Is there any previous work experience required?

a. No

4. Does this contract provide SOFA status?

a. SOFA Status may be requested in accordance with DFARS 252.225-7976

5. “1.5. WORK SECTION COVERAGE In case of absences or illness, the contractor shall meet administration services with personnel of equal qualifications, appropriate CAC access, and healthcare- specific privacy training. Unscheduled absences: For unscheduled absences projected to miss three (3) or fewer consecutive work days, replacement coverage is not required. For an unscheduled absence projected to exceed three (3) consecutive days, coverage shall be dispatched within one (1) duty day per section. Unscheduled absence is not to exceed three days per month per section.” Is the contractor expected to have additional staff with security clearance and CAC card available to fill in if the employee is absent for more than 3 days? Normal practice is absent for 2 weeks or more than 30 days.

a. Please see paragraph 1.7.3 of the PWS for this information.

6. Will the employer be liable for the employee’s vehicle for travel to and from work, or is this vehicle insurance coverage for the individual employee? Our company has $2,000,000 of vehicle insurance, but I am curious to know if this for the company also.

a. All vehicles driven on Misawa AB must have the appropriate insurance on their vehicles.

If an employee is found driving on base without the insurance, their driving privileges may be revoked. It is the company’s responsibilities to educate their employees on the requirement to maintain vehicle insurance while driving on Misawa AB.
