Questions & Answers RFI FA520519N0003 - Medical Waste Disposal and Transportation for 35th Medical Group, Misawa AB, Japan
1. It is possible for us to have a 5 year contract, but we prefer a shorter contract period because it is difficult to predict pricing that far out. We would like to include that “pricing will be revised by mutual agreement of both parties if there is a reasonable reason such as changes to economic situation” to the contract.
a. The resulting contract will be written as Firm Fixed Price, therefore the pricing will be set once the contract is awarded. However, contractors can price out options to anticipate future inflation.
2. Can the 20 – 50 liter plastic medical waste containers be used instead of the 33-Gallon drums?
a. No, due to the 35 MDG’s mission, only the 33-gallon drums are acceptable.
