General Information
Classification Code: U099 – Education/Training-Other
NAICS Code: 611519 – Other Technical and Trade Schools
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) / SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT to conduct market research relative to the 513 ERHS Trimble 3D Training (Tinian) requirement. This RFI announcement is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) and the Government is not committed to award a contract pursuant to this announcement. The information from this RFI is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.
General Intent
The Air Force is looking to award a single contract to facilitate this requirement. This market research is being conducted to assist in determining the best acquisition strategy for the subject service. Any information regarding contract type, commercial practices, and specifications are requested and being considered for the development of the solicitation.
This announcement is targeted for all qualified businesses that can perform the services as stated in the Performance Work Statement (PWS); responses from all interested parties are appreciated and accepted.
Description
The Period of Performance (PoP) for this contract shall be from 20 October 2025 – 24 October 2025.
The contractor shall provide on-site training for U.S. Air Force 26.1 Expeditionary Red Horse Squadron (ERHS) personnel on the operation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of government-owned Trimble 3D and 2D machine control systems installed on heavy construction equipment. Training shall be conducted on a 3D Dozer, 3D Grader, and 2D Paver to support ongoing North Field, Tinian construction operations.
Background
The 513th Expeditionary RED HORSE Squadron (ERHS) 3D Trimble Training will take place on the island of Tinian, located within the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI)—a region of enduring strategic importance. From its pivotal role in World War II to its current contributions to U.S. defense infrastructure, Tinian remains a critical site for advancing military readiness.
This training initiative is designed to equip incoming 26.1 ERHS personnel—who currently lack operational experience—with the skills necessary to effectively utilize Trimble machine control systems. These systems are essential for achieving the high-precision earthmoving and paving operations that underpin mission success. Immediate and comprehensive instruction is required to ensure construction timelines are met and operational capabilities are maintained.
There is no previous contract for this requirement.
