PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT
SPACE SAVER – ARMORY MOBILE STORAGE CONVERSION
EIELSON AFB, ALASKA
SCOPE OF WORK
1.1. Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, tools, equipment, personnel and transportation necessary to conver the existing “Space Saver” Brand storage to electric operation. The conversion must include locking capability for security and add 1 new double-sided movable carriage with five (5) weapon racks.
1.2. The conversion re-uses the existing rails & decking with new electric movable carriages.
1.3. The existing rails & deck will be extended by 3' to accommodate the 1 additional carriage.
1.4. The 1 new double-sided movable row that will be added will have 5 new weapons racks. The additional racks consis of 2 tall racks for M24s and 3 short racks for M4/M9 pairs. The new rack will fill one side of the new carriage and the other side will have a plywood cover that can be used for boxes or other larger items.
1.5. All of the existing Spacesaver Universal Weapons Racks should be re-used on the new carriages if possible.
1.6. New laminate/end panels will be required for the new electric controls.
1.7. Prefer Touch Technology Controls (OR EQUAL) to allow PIN codes to be required for access to the weapons storage system. These controls keep an audit log of who accessed the weapons and when for added security.
1.8. The electric carriages should be equipped with two passive safety features (OR EQUAL). Both sides of each movable carriage will be equipped with a photoelectric safety sweep that senses a person or object in the aisle and stops movement to protect that person or item. An aisle entry sensor mounted on the end panels senses a person entering the storage system and stops the moving carriages.
