Request for Information
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to afford industry the opportunity to provide input on proposed Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) descriptions to be used for Eielson Air Force Base’s Fiscal
Year 15 (FY15) Paving Indefinite‐Delivery Indefinite‐Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Please take a look at the attached CLIN descriptions and respond accordingly to the following questions;
1) Are the CLIN descriptions in the attached document described sufficiently to provide your company a clear understanding of the work that should be included/priced into each item.
2) Would an attachment to the bid schedule, containing extended descriptions of each CLIN be required or are short descriptions sufficient?
3) We have set up the Bid Schedule so that it contains a set of CLINs to be used for Airfield paving and another set for Roadway paving. From an industry standpoint, will this allow contractors to provide the government with more accurate pricing due to the stringent requirements involved with Airfield paving compared to Roadway paving?
4) Does your company have any questions with regards to the attached CLIN descriptions that will help you better understand our requirement?
Please provide a response to this RFI no later than 1630hrs on 24 October 2014. Responses must be emailed to SSgt Nicholas Muche at nicholas.muche@us.af.mil and SrA Thomas Turnbull at thomas.turnbull.1@us.af.mil
Thank you for taking the time and effort to participate in this RFI and we look forward to hearing from you.
