NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:

The 673d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson ABW, Alaska intends to award a sole source purchase order to Explotrain LLC as a result of them having patented technology (Patent No. 6,599,127 B1). Due to the patent and copyright status, only the instrument manufacturer can provide the required refurbishment and upgrade of current existing X-02 Blast Simulators.

This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.501. The anticipated award date is 06 Sept 2019. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals.

A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
