About this file
This document is a Salient Characteristics document that outlines the requirements for a new point-of-care ultrasound machine and associated equipment for the 550th FS. The unit must be a digital, compact device capable of clear, simple evaluation and procedural guidance. Required features include high-quality 2D imaging, color flow and power doppler, M-mode capability, adjustable gain, needle adjustment, DICOM compatibility, service/user manuals, and a quick connect/disconnect system for the three included transducers (linear high/mid frequency, curvilinear low frequency). The system should also have a digital printer, Windows 10 operating system, and at least one day of vendor-provided applications training. A minimum 5-year warranty is required for the system and transducers.
This requirement is associated with a pre-solicitation notice for a federal contract opportunity, Solicitation Number FA488724Q0044, issued by the Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command. The agency intends to procure one new point-of-care ultrasound machine and associated equipment meeting the salient characteristics described.
