Q&A for FA487725QA177 Gooseneck Trailer

(Current as of 18-Feb-2025)

Q1. Please expand/clarify the following specs;

• 1-interior height?

• 2-preferred brand or sample for solar power battery power system?

• 3-auto transfer switch?

• 4-Electrical convertor?

• 5-preferred brand or sample for hazardous material storage lockers?

o How many?

• 6-rear ramp or double doors?

• 7-lengths of awning?

A1. 1-Interior height should be 9ft.

2- We currently use an Anker SOLIX F3800 solar panel/generator system for power when we do not bring our current trailer with us, so while brand isn’t important, we would like the option to be able to seamlessly integrate into our current set up.

3- Auto transfer switch is ok.

4- Electrical convertor 12v to 120v is good.

5-We use the yellow Eagle Manufacturing Company hazardous material lockers, currently we have two single door 5’5” H x 19”D x 23.5”W lockers. This volume is not sufficient, so we either need a third locker, or two with bigger capacity. Additionally, I would like these hard mounted next to each other off the floor at least two feet.

6-Rear ramp, for loading and unloading rolling equipment 7-Awning length should cover half the trailer at least.

Q2. Dimensions LxWxH: 38ft x 8.5ft x 9 ft: 38 ft unavailable, 36, 40 & 44 ft available, would any of these work? 9ft exterior or interior height?

A2. 40ft x 8.5ft x 9ft is best, and the interior height should be 9ft. additionally there should be a 6–8-foot, wall to wall section with nothing on floor or wall for toolbox/rolling stock storage from the ramp door to the start of the cabinets/haz lockers

Q3. Solar Power Battery Power System: Including 12 volt and 115-volt power?

A3. Yes, we would like both.

Q4. Steel frame with aluminum skin: steel frame unavailable, aluminum available.

Is aluminum ok?

A4. Aluminum frame with aluminum skin is ok.

Q5. Recessed D-Rings: Quantity and locations?

A5. The D-rings should start 2 feet from the rear ramp door and go wall to wall in 1’ x 1’ squares

Q6. Lower and upper cabinets on one side of trailer with countertop space in-between: Length of cabinets?

A6. At least 16’ cabinets, upper and lower.

Q7. Hazardous material storage lockers: Location and sizes?

A7. We use the yellow Eagle Manufacturing Company hazardous material lockers, currently we have two single door 5’5” H x 19” D x 23.5”W lockers. This volume is not sufficient, so we either need a third locker, or two with bigger capacity.

(prefer two with bigger capacity) These should be mounted side by side at the beginning of the shelves toward the rear of the trailer. Additionally, we would like these hard mounted next to each other off the floor at least two feet.

Q8. 20-gallon generator fuel tank: 20-gal unavailable, 35 gallon ok?

A8. A 35 gallon is good. More capacity is also good.

Q9. The salient characteristics do not specify the number of air conditioner/mini-splits required. How many units are required?

A9. At least one air conditioner/mini-split is what we require, however whatever is most efficient for the trailer size works best.

Q10. The salient characteristics call out three (3) axles and 12,000 cargo capacity.

Should the 12,000 be the minimum GVWR?

A10. Yes, the GVWR at 12,000lbs is fine.

Q11. Solar power battery system – do details of the system exist?

A11. We do not have details for the solar system other than what has already been stated.

Q12. Does the trailer have a solid rear wall with ladder?

A12. No, however we would like a ladder for roof access on the side of the trailer.

Q13. What size of generator is required?

A13. Currently have a Cummins Commercial QD Diesel Generator, 120v 62.5 Amp 60 Hz. Anything that is equivalent and sufficient to run the trailer power will work. Only requirement is it must be a diesel generator.

Q14. What is the exact address the trailer is going to be delivered to?

A14. 3301 Flightline Rd, Building 1446, Davis Monthan AFB, AZ, USA, 85707

Q15. How long for the bench in the forward end trailer?

A15. 6 to 8-foot bench is good.
