About this file
This document is an amendment to a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the procurement of a narcotics cabinet/modular locker system for the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command. The RFQ provides the salient characteristics for the required CLIN items, which include an intelligent modular locker system with touchscreen display, an electronic key management cabinet, and delivery. The RFQ specifies that the contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose quote meets the lowest price and technical acceptability. All quotes must be submitted by September 17, 2024 at noon MST, and delivery of the items is required by November 30, 2024. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 337215. The amendment includes questions and answers related to the RFQ requirements, such as the use of RFID tags, weight recognition, indoor/outdoor usage, and the number of expected system users.

Amendment 0001
FA4877-24-QA554
48 RQS – Narc Cabinet/Modular Locker
Questions and Answers
1Q. Is it the same narcotic being placed in the locker, that is being placed with an RFID tag on it, or is a consumable?
1A. This will not have an RFID tag on it. This will be the locker we use to store our narcotics in due to the one we have now being outdated.
2Q. Would you consider weight recognition as an alternative to RFID for content management?
2A. Yes. This locker will not be moved around the building so it will be easy to track due to the weight of it.
3Q. Will the lockers be utilized indoors or outdoors?
3A. Indoors. This locker will be kept in our medical logistics office.
4Q. How many individuals are expected to require system access?
4A. I would say an estimate of 70 individuals. That number will change as PJ’s PCS in and out the unit.
