Q: What is the address for Building 4455?

A: 3885 S. Craycroft Rd, Tucson, AZ 85707 (32.176540, -110.874331)

Q: Does building 4455 require any hard-wired connections to devices?

A: No, the service for building 4455 is completely wireless

Q: How many potential simulatenous users?

A: Currently, 64 with possible increase to around 90 simultaneous users

Q: What types of devices will be used?

A: Personal devices (i.e. laptops, tablets, smartphones)

Q: What is the composition of the building?

A: Mostly cinder block and sheet rock

Q: Is service required on the second floor?

A: No, service is only required on the first floor in the specified areas noted on the floorplan

Q: How was the 300Mbps requirement determined?

A: The driving factor is the Cavas website that the students will be using which recommends 512k minimum per user.

The remainder in the bandwidth requirement is to allow for collaborative programs, and moderate internet traffic that a student might use to research/complete their assignments.

Q: What is the target date to activate services in building 4455?

A: The target date to have services available for student use is 26 July 2019, the building will be availble for installation during most of the month of July.

Q: Is there closet space for possible equipment inside the building?

A: Room 107 has room that can house equipment necessary for internet service.

Q: Can the Air Force fiber be used for this requirement?

A: No, the Air Force fiber cannot be used. However, there may be space in the conduits that can be used to run your own wiring.

Q: Can the rack in the outside comm room be used for this requirement?

A: Yes, the rack has room and can be used for this requirement.

Q: Is Fixed Wireless an option to deliver service to Davis-Monthan AFB?

A: Yes, fixed wireless is an option. Please be specific and clear about your approach, including frequencies and placement of equipment. Frequencies currently in use on the Base cannot be interfered with. It may be prudent to offer multiple options with your proposal.

Q: Can we have a map of the current conduits?

A: Yes, the map can be made available to SAM registered vendors upon request.

Q: Can a floorplan be made available?

A: Yes, floorplans can be made available to SAM registered vendors upon request.
