1. Do you have Power Over Ethernet (POE) switches or is it contractor’s responsibility to procure and install POEs?

Answer: No, Contractors responsibility to procure and install POEs.

2. Has RF survey been performed and location of AccessPoints (AP) been identified?

Answer: Access points have been identified but an RF survey has not been performed.

3. If answer to Question # 2 is “No”, then how do you want contractor to provide pricing without knowing how many APs are required?

Answer: Site survey, please see the PWS for the Gov’t estimate of placement of APs

4. If answer to Question # 2 is “Yes”, then please provide the quality required?

Answer: See Answer for question # 3

5. Is there any requirement for integrating PKI, CAC Card, Active Directory for authentication?

Answer: No, This is to be an unsecured network

6. Has any of the following been performed:

Spectrum Analysis Heatmap Analysis Signal Qualities Network Discovery

Answer: No, there is nothing in place to test

7. If answer to question # 6 is “Yes”, then please provide the results?

Answer: N/A

8. Is assumption correct, that network connectivity is available on each floor and ports are available to connect new AccessPoints and LAN Controllers?

Answer: Yes, if we need to add more then we will

9. Are there LAN Controllers already installed, or contractor needs to procure, install, and configure LAN Controllers?

Answer: Contractor needs to procure, install, and configure LAN Controllers

10. Will this WIFI deployment just for Internet only connections or for internal network connectivity as well?

Answer: Just for internet

11. Is assumption correct cabling from COMM closet to AccessPoints are also responsibility of the Contractor?

Answer: Yes

12. Would WEG provide the storage to store the equipment and supplies during the Period of Performance?

Answer: Depends on the amount of space needed

13. Can you please provide the list of companies attended the Site Visit?

Answer: Telos, MCS & CCS

14. Are there any frequency Jammers / Steel Plated walls installed in the building?

Answer: No

15. Do contractor needs to bring a new line for the internet? If “yes” then

Answer: FA481918Q6016 is for the ISP, this will be awarded in the near future

Please provide the approved ISP for this location?

Answer: Not known at this time

16. Many new devices only have 5 GHz connectivity, would you like to broadcast both 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies?

Answer: Only 2.4

17. Do you want WEG employees to reenter the username/password when move from one floor to another or WEG wants employees to be automatically connected when move between floors to floors?

Answer: Automatically connect

18. Please further elaborate on this requirement in detail. Do you want to capture MAC Address, Email Address, User info and etc?

Answer: We would like to be able to monitor and log who accesses the commercial

19. Is this assumption correct?

If user does not accept the term on flash page, then do not allow user to connect.

Answer: YES

Assuming www.yahoo.com is not an acceptable for user to access, then if user try to get to yahoo.com then system will present the page with message “site is not authorized by WEG or etc.”

20. How many years of extended warranty is required?

Answer: 5 YEARS

21. 1 internal SSID can be used for all 53 WEG patron to connect and separate SSIS for the Guest.

Answer: We do not need 53 separate accounts.

What is the reason for 53 separate accounts?

Answer: We do not need 53 separate accounts

22. Floor plans shows the locations of APs, are these APs already installed?

Answer: No APs are installed for this effort at this time. The floor plans are the gov’t estimate of placement.

23. Can the contractor install equipment in existing communication closets and cabinets?

Answer: Only install in closets not in cabinets

24. Does the network equipment installed have to be on the Approved Product List (APL)?

25. Will the Base provide all fiber between buildings?

26. Will the Base be providing Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name

System (DNS), and Firewall services?

27. Can contractor use existing cable path and wall penetration?

28. Can contractor use existing patch panels? If yes, is there space available?

29. Is the network design required as part of the quote?

30. Due to the prohibition of 5Ghz frequency use on Tyndall AFB, If the specified speed (50 Mbits download & 10 Mbits upload) identified in the requirements document cannot be achieved because of interference and data rate limitations. Is the Government willing to accept a functional system at a lesser speed?

Answer: Depends on how much less

31. Will the base complete all core drillings?

34. Do these buildings come back to a central demarcation point?

Answer: Bldg 649. In the Comm Squadron

35. Are we required to bring (install) bandwidth to each bldg via OSP fiber installation?

Answer: Fiber is already installed

36. Do the access points need to be 2.4 GHz only? Can the access points have a 5 GHz band but that band turned off?

Answer: 2.4GHz only

37. Are the access points to be fed via fiber or copper?

Answer: Either

38. The RFP states there is existing cabling in place. What type of cabling?

Answer: Fiber

39. Is the infrastructure shown on the drawings existing?

Answer: Yes. Except for the first floor of Bldg 226

40. Are we responsible for removing the old equipment?

Answer: There is no old equipment

41. Are the bandwidth requirements as written? 50 users @ 50 Mbps each simultaneously?

Answer: No, 50 Mbps total.. not per person

42. Can floor plans be highlighted to show exact coverage areas desired for cabling purposes?

Answer: Gov’t placement of APs on floor plans is the best guest of coverage.

43. What is the location of the Telecom DEMARC? Physical address, Building and room number?

Answer: Bldg 649. In the Comm Squadron. The ISP will provide service to this bldg and service to the WEG complex will be carried via gov’t fiber.

44. Confirm Fiber interconnect is available from Dmarc to serviced bldgs.

45. Is there base provided fiber or copper connectivity between the Bldgs?

46. If no fiber or copper inter-building connectivity exists, is wireless connectivity between buildings acceptable?

Answer: See question 45.

47. What Are the Ceiling heights in each building?

Answer: 8 ft

48. What are the ceiling types in each building - drop or solid?

Answer: Majority is drop but there are some solid ceilings

49. Where is the main computer room, MDF, located (room number) in each building?

Answer: RED BLOCKS indicate Comm rooms

50. What are the room number of the IDF/TR's in each bldg. on each floor?

Answer: same as 49

51. Is there any asbestos in the bldgs?

52. Can we co-locate our equipment in the MDF, IDF and TR's?

Answer: Yes, in a separate cabinet that KTR will install

53. Is rack space available in the MDF, IDF and TR's?

Answer. No, see question 52

54. Is electrical power available in the MDF, IDF and TR's?

55. Is space available in all risers between floors in all buildings if needed?

Answer: Not needed

56. Is sufficient space available in cable ways and trays for cable distribution (if needed) throughout the buildings and between floors.

61. Can you provide the street address for building 649 where the ISP would be installed?

Answer. Not required as ISP will transverse over Gov’t owned Fiber to the WEG complex

62. We noted the FAR 52.212-5.a.11 HUBZone requirement was not selected (or otherwise discussed); however, we did note the preference waiver IAW 52.219-4. Does the government have a preference for HUBZone? If not, what is the purpose of waiver of preference?

Answer: Yes, per FAR 19.1309(b). The purpose of the waiver is for the HUBZone concern to not have to comply with the 50% rule as stated in 52.219-4(d).

63. Could the government please explain the government's ability or purpose for exempting SCLS

(FAR 52.222-53)?

Answer: Solicitation has been amended to remove this

64. We noted a the difference between CLIN 0001 in the solicitation, and in the quote sheet.

"Please describe the fee for premium warranty for on-site repairs. This language is included in the solicitation language but not the quote sheet. Which prevails?"

Answer: Please note that the solicitation is clear on what CLIN 0001, 1001, 2001, 3001 and 4001, which is Annual fee for monitoring services and Premium Warranty. To answer your question, the Solicitation prevails as the quote sheet was made to simplify the document for quotes.
