Sources Sought Number – FA4819-17-Q-3034 – Information Technology Workstation

This sources sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a synopsis or solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for contract award. When the solicitation is issued, it will be announced on the Federal Business Opportunities website and all interested parties shall obtain the solicitation from this website.

The 325th Contracting Squadron (325 CONS) at Tyndall AFB, FL is seeking potential sources for Information Technology Workstation. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of qualified and interested sources that can provide the workstation detailed and illsratted below, Brand name or equal. To clarify, all part numbers listed below are Wilsonart part numbers. However, the products we are looking to procure need not be brand name, but it must be equivalent to the color shown from Wilsonart. Additionally, the government does not currently have and cannot provide any plans, drawings, or specifications required to manufacture this product.

0001 Custom Design/Build Computer Operation Furniture for Operator Positions approximately 40"W x 36"D x 43"H:

To Include: Aluminum Horizontal Slatwall Mounting Track

Each console workstation shall incorporate a lower and upper Communication compartment with removable Mesh back panel covers for ventilation. Lower Comm Compartment shall be 30” tall and 12” deep. Lower communication compartment shall allow for mounting Comm IT hardware and cables management hardware. Furniture grommets shall be used and aligned to allow for Category 6 (CAT6) Shielded cables to run continuous from under the front platform to position 11 from either end. There shall be an upper and lower furniture grommet allowing for at least 12” separation between classified and unclassified CAT6 cabling. Power Strips will be used and mounted inside each lower Comm Compartment. Each Operator Position will need to power 2 Ultra Small Form Factor PCs, One Dell Wyse Zero Client, On NIAP approved KVM, two AC phone adapters and two 22” Monitors.

CONSTRUCTION DETAILS: Construction shall be of 3/4” and 1 1/8” MDF (medium density fiberboard) with HPL (high pressure laminates). Cable passage shall be provided in all vertical and horizontal locations.

1. “U Shape” Furniture Fame shall be constructed as separate workstation pieces forming a complete “U Shape” Operation Center workstation/conference table with section for ease of transportation. Each workstation section consists of an information technologies (IT) compartments in the rear, 12” deep x 30” tall, with removable lower perforated/Mesh rear cabinet cover, equipped with horizontal and vertical passages for cable management and air flow ventilation. The workstation frames and IT rear compartments shall be constructed with biscuit holes for alignment, held together with biscuits and brackets, NO adhesive, to create one solid U Shape table. The tops of each workstation shall be built separate with furniture grommets, constructed in such a manner to be combined with its appropriate adjacent workstation tops to create one or two solid, work surface U-Shape side. Each exposed ends of workstation sections shall be of a solid matching finish for systemic purposes

Each row section shall have a twelve (12) inch high by six (6) inch deep, IT compartment/cable tray running the full length of each row section. The top cover of this raised tray shall be equipped with furniture grommets and “Quiet” muffin/exhaust fans, one per operational position, with air passages opening into each lower IT cabinets to maintain constant air flow. The upper IT compartment rear cover must also be removable but NOT with perforated /mesh for ventilation, it shall be finished with matching HPL.

The front face of the raised IT compartment/cable shall be equipped with sliding monitor arm track system to allow for easy repositioning of any individual workstation monitor.

Each monitor arm shall be equipped with standard VESA 100mm x 100mm pattern to mount standard 19” to 30” monitors with at least 15 degree tilt and full swing motion side to side. Included in this delivery order shall be 44 each single Monitor Arms, made to fit the specified track system.

2. Standalone individual workstations shall be constructed with solid laminate finished exposed ends (isle sides) for systemic purposes, exposed ends shall be of a solid matching finish. Each workstation section consists of an information technologies (IT) compartments in the rear, 12” deep x 30” tall, with removable lower perforated/Mesh rear cabinet cover, equipped with horizontal and vertical passages for cable management and air flow ventilation. The workstation frames shall be constructed with biscuit holes for alignment, held together with biscuits and brackets. The tops of each workstation shall be built separate.

Included in this delivery order shall be 20 each single Monitor Arms and one Triple Arm, made to fit the specified track system.

3. The presenter workstation shall be constructed the same as the stand alone workstation above with the addition of a communication compartment on the side, creating a two sided modesty panel effect. The side communication compartment top shall be constructed to match the workstation desktop.

FURNITURE SECTION LAYOUT: The AFNORTH/A3 Ops Floor/VTC room furniture layout shall be configured in one large U-Shaped conference type workstations, lined on either side with a standalone workstations and one presenter station.

“U” shape Consoles shall be configured with six workstations on each side and three consoles connected at the head in direct view of the room’s VTC camera. Each console shall be designed per the specification depicted in Construction Details above and Attachments 1, 2, and 3, constructed in such a manner to be fastened together to make a “U” Shape.

Each workstation unit shall be approximately 40 inches wide by 36 inches deep. Each side section shall have a mesh back panel covers to give the appearance of a customized, executive style, operations floor furniture/conference table, customized for communication equipment with cooling, power, cable management, pull out keyboard tray and IT compartment. Each side will require twelve (12) monitor arms. All Exposed end shall be finished.

Head row to consist of 3 (three), workstation units as described above. Each workstation unit shall be approximately 40 inches wide by 36 inches deep. The back side of these sections shall be solid MDF with matching surface and top HPL (high pressure laminates) on the upper and lower communication compartment of the center section to allow for a solid face an the install of an “Emblem”, which would be visible from VTC camera view, (if wanted). The under desk modesty panel for the front three workstation shall be perforated metal mesh for ventilation and removable for PC access.

The room is laid out to be used for multiple purposes such As Conference room, briefings, VTC both Class and Un-Class Back up for the Chief of Staff and the A3 Crisis Action Team (CAT) Ops Center. All networking/infrastructure hardware Will be housed in the room directly behind the front two Displays. Power will be pulled thru and to each position of The U-Shaped Table

Each individual work station shall be built identical In height, width and depth with the same Upper and Lower comm. compartments. The back panels shall be Identical and interchangeable with ventilated Mesh on The lower cover and solid laminate on upper. Each shall Incorporate the same cable management, ventilation and Silent muffin fans.
