About this file

This document is a Questions and Responses file for a federal contract opportunity (FA481425Q0025) involving Yamaha Marine Patrol Boat Engines for MacDill Air Force Base. The solicitation requires the procurement and installation of two Yamaha F300UCB/LF300UCB outboard engines for a 27' WAC SAFE Boat vessel. The contract specifies a complete replacement of existing engines, including all associated systems such as steering, throttles, and wiring. The new engines will be fly-by-wire (digital electronic control), and the contractor is responsible for removing existing equipment, installing new engines, and providing basic on-the-job equipment training for Air Force personnel. Existing engines will be removed and returned to 6 SFS, indicating a full system replacement rather than a partial upgrade.
