Amendment 0001 - Questions and Answers from Industry

1: Would you prefer clear lensed safety glasses?

Clear lens

2: Would you prefer electronic earmuffs or standard heavy machinery earmuffs?

Standard earmuff not electric

3: Will you accept an approved equal for the boots?

It is highly encouraged for vendors to provide a product that they would best meet the governments requirement.

4: What color Crew pants and shirts do you prefer?

Color for crew tops and bottoms are for under the uniform to keep them warm and the color should be coyote brown.

5: I have a few options for the APECS Trousers. I wanted to ask, are these being worn in a machine shop or maintenance hangar? If so I have an option with more durability and tougher fabric that still offers the breathability in OCP color. Would these be acceptable?

The APECS top and bottom are to keep troops dry and warm. I don’t believe that they’ll be worn inside a machine shop.

6: Overall, are approved equals acceptable for the Pants, Boots, and Parka?

It is highly encouraged for vendors to provide a product that they would best meet the governments requirement.
