Questions asked and answers:
1. What is the weight of the load
1. Can you provide a picture of what the trailer will be used for
1. If unable to provide photos, is the load on wheels
1. What is the weight of the load
· The typical max load would be 12,600lbs – however these are sometimes hooked in tandem & brake issues can significantly increase the resistance.
· The load is not always pulled on flat/level ground.
1. Can you provide a picture of what the trailer will be used for
· See below. The trailer mover will be used to pull items like the picture below from the drawbar (circled) with a NATO style pintle hook.
1. If unable to provide photos, is the load on wheels
2. Can you please provide the spec on the height of the tow bar from the ground to the lunette ring connection on your trailer?
Can you also please let me know if all the trailers’ connections are the same height? Or if they have different heights of connections, then a rail on the back of the tug makes it easy to change the hitch height.
Also, how long in hours do you want to continuously use this? Our vendor uses 260 Ah 6V x six batteries, so it is quite large capacity already. The option is 355 Ah 6V instead or 36% larger.
· The connection point of the pintle hook & lunette is required to be between 10 and 30 inches from the ground.
· This applies to all items that would be towed.
· The trailer mover would not be under continuous use. The typical usage would be less than an hour per day, however extenuating circumstances could require 10+ hours during contingency exercise.
3. How many times per day (at a max) would you move a load, what is the average load weight, and what is the average distance moved? This will allow me to calculate the energy used, on a worst day use scenario, to ensure you have the battery capacity needed.
- On the worst day we estimate 10 pulls of 120 feet with an average weight of 10K lbs.
