STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TECHNICIAN TRAINING

1. BACKGROUND: In accordance with AFI 32-2001, all military, civilian, contracted or other persons providing fire protection services for the Air Force will meet the certification requirements of DoDM 6055.06, Department of Defense Fire and Emergency Services Certification Program.

The minimum level of training for all Fire and Emergency Services personnel is Hazardous

Materials Technician.

2. SCOPE: Provide on-site instruction on gaining Hazardous Materials Technician certification to the following:

i) 30 students will be instructed and will gain the (Pro Board or IFSAC) Hazardous

Materials Technician certification.

ii) Instruction must be taught between the date ranges of 15 January to 25 February 2024.

iii) Class can be conducted between the hours of 0800 – 1800 Monday through Friday and no longer than five days.

iv) Students shall have multiple chances to take the test to obtain the certifications.

3. QUALIFICATIONS:

i) The contractor shall be certified to instruct Hazardous Materials Technician courses.

ii) The contractor shall ensure all employees working on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base possess proper identification documentation.

iii) The contractor shall provide necessary hours of course instruction, utilizing instructors, testers and appropriate resources, except the student textbooks, ERG’s and NIOSH

Pocket guides.

iv) The contractor shall provide all course documentation and certification processing; to include certification examination and issuance of certification certificates with the appropriate accrediting agency.

v) The contractor shall provide any registration and prerequisite information to Seymour

Johnson Fire & Emergency Services not later than ten (10) days prior to course start date.

4. COORDINATION/SCHEDULE: The contractor will coordinate schedule and other contractual requirements with 4 CES/CEF Training, Technical Sergeant James Summers, Assistant Chief of Training, james.summers.11@us.af.mil, 919-722-9580 mailto:james.summers.11@us.af.mil

5. MATERIALS: Seymour Johnon Fire and Emergency Services will provide all students materials but not limited to textbooks, ERG’s and NIOSH Pocket guides for the students, facility including technology support, and validation of prerequisites.

6. SAFETY:

i) The contractor will comply with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.

ii) The contractor will adhere to best practices of safety in the workplace.

7. LOCATION: All instruction and training will take place at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Goldsboro, NC, at 2020 Jabara Avenue Building number 4601.
