REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION AND RESPONSES
FA480923Q0113, HAZARDOUS MATERIAL STORAGE UNITS
Question/Topic Answer
01 Is there flexibility with this lead time?
The 45-day delivery period identified on the solicitation is estimated.
Offerors should annotate actual lead time on submitted quotations if different from the 45-day estimated delivery period estimated on the solicitation document. Reference also provision FAR 52.212-2 at page 49 of the solicitation document
Specs say sufficiently weatherproof to withstand wind load of 120 MPH. Is this only for the building only or does that include the doors? For example [if the] buildings are rated at 150 mph, but doors [that] are only rated for 90 mph.
Doors rated at 90 MPH wind load rating are sufficient, provided fire rating and door construction to include weatherproofing, are not compromised.
How much shelving is needed per unit and how many tiers on each wall?
**SOW Addition at Section III.5 A minimum of four (4) tiers of shelving along back and side walls as space allows. Shelving shall be leakproof, steel, and encompassed with a 2” lip
Only once in the specs does it call out class and division for explosion proof accessories. It calls exhaust to be class1, Division 1. Do all electrical components need to be Class1, Div1 or only the exhaust?
**SOW Additions at III. 18, 19, 21, 22, 23 Units shall meet, at minimum, the specifications of the pre-existing unit(s).
