SAM.gov Vendor Questions Compilation:
Q1: Is this a new requirement or existing work? Is there a current incumbent providing a weather intelligence or environmental forecasting service to ACC (and if so, what is the contract number)?
A1: This Sources Sought Notice is issued specifically on behalf of Air Forces Central (AFCENT) at Shaw AFB. The Government cannot provide contract data for the entirety of Air Combat Command (ACC). For this specific AFCENT requirement, this is a new contract effort and there is no incumbent contractor or prior contract number.
Q2: When does your office expect to release the solicitation?
A2: The release of any formal solicitation is strictly contingent upon the availability of funds, which are not currently available. Should funding become available, the Government tentatively anticipates releasing a solicitation within the next 1 to 2 weeks.
However, this timeline is an estimate and is subject to change at the Government's discretion.
