Salient Characteristics
| SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS | |
| Solicitation FA4803-18-Q-G046 requires the system to have the following capabilities | |
| a. | Equipment shall manipulate existing machine-control inventory |
| b. | Equipment shall obtain and maintain FGDC/FAA accuracy |
| c. | Equipment shall meet MIL-STD 810G specifications. Due to the global deployment of this equipment, it needs to be able to operate anywhere that our troops are located |
| d. | Equipment shall comply with NTIA specifications |
| e. | Equipment shall meet AF risk management framework (RMF) accreditation |
| f. | Equipment shall be able to communicate with military radios (AN/PRC-117 and AN/PRC 152) |
| g. | Equipment shall be able to operate in static, real time and near-real time for topographic and construction purposes |
| h. | Additionally, optical equipment shall meet: |
| 1 | Equipment shall turn horizontally and vertically by electromagnetic direct drives which provide exceptional reliability in dust and sand environments |
| 2 | Equipment shall maintain accurate pointing and measurements by actively correcting unwanted movements including wind, handling and settling. |
| 3 | Equipment shall track and measure a target without the use of a glass prism but rather Direct Reflection (DR) technology |
| 4 | Equipment shall have 3D scanning capabilities as separate or combination to optical functionalities |
| 5 | Equipment search range shall have 360 degrees target acquisition and time of no greater than 30 seconds and a re-acquisition of target time of no greater than 5 seconds. |
| GNSS equipment shall meet: | |
| a. | Equipment shall support/receive all existing and planned GNSS constellations and augmentation systems |
| b. | Equipment radios should be programmable to operate in United States Air Force Europe/Air Force Africa (USAFE/AFAFRICA), Pacific Air Force (PACAF), Air Force South (AFSOUTH) theater of operations and continental USA. |
| c. | Equipment shall have internal cellular modem capability |
| d. | Equipment shall have a minimum 4GB internal memory |
| e. | Equipment search range shall have 360 degrees target acquisition and time of no greater than 30 seconds and a re-acquisition of target time of no greater than 5 secs |
| f. | Equipment shall constantly monitor pole tilt & display pole tilt to reduce human error |
| g. | Equipment shall continue to perform in a Real Time Kinematic when there is a loss in connection to the GNSS base station radio |
