About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation KWRD 23-0052, dated 05 August 2025, related to an A-E Design Repair project for a Corrosion Control Facility B898. The Q&A addresses a specific inquiry about cost estimation methods for the Air Force project. The government response clarifies that PACES (Parametric Cost Estimating System) is required to meet AFCEC certification requirements, particularly when detailed design information is limited. While some Air Force statements of work offer MII (Military Installation Infrastructure) as an option, this solicitation mandates PACES as the default cost estimator. The document provides a template for potential additional questions, though in this instance only one question is documented.
