Q&A
Chemistry Analyzer
FA4801-20-Q-1001
13 November 2019
Q1: “The CLIN descriptions in the synopsis online state this RFQ is for a chemistry analyzer [presumed single], please clarify the lab's intentions for the 5 immunoassay tests (FT4, TSH, Ferritin, Folic Acid, and Vitamin D) included in Appendix A Test Menu within the Statement of Work.”
A1: The intention of the chemistry platform is to have one instrument that is capable of performing all testing.
Q2: 1.1.3 Dimensions must not exceed a length of 120 inches, a depth of 35 inches; and a height of 65 inches. There is no single vendor that can meet the requirements for the above dimensions. This requirement is unduly restrictive and it is requested that the dimensions are modified to include “plus 5%” added to requirement.
A2: The space that is allotted for the analyzer is approximately 10 ft. x 4.5 ft. x 6 ft. (Width x Depth x Height). This space is for any additional items such as UPS and computer tower. An additional 5-10% in either direction can be accommodated.
Q3: 3.2 Delivery Requirements based on a "cost per kit" arrangement and the specifications contained in this Statement of Work (SOW). The Government “cost” is driven by the amount of reagent purchased to perform the number of estimated tests required per month by the 49th Medical Group. Please clarify that “cost per kit” can be used interchangeably with “cost per test” pricing.
A3: The Cost per Kit (CPK) and Cost per Test( CPT) can be used interchangeably.
Q4: Is scope reference laboratory services only?
A4: No.
Q5: If no, is there any reference laboratory work?
A5: No.
Q6: What is Holloman’s expectation on Chemistry Analyzer and personnel requirement? Does Holloman have a Chemistry Analyzer on site or does the AFB need equipment?
A6: Holloman has a Chemistry analyzer on site.
Q7: Is Holloman just looking for a person/team to run and manage the Holloman’s equipment/volumes indicated in Appendix A?
A7: No.
