STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENT
Modix Big-180X 3D Printer & Ancillary Equipment Brand Name or Equal
633d FSS / FSDL
Bateman Library, 42 Ash Ave, Hampton, Virginia
1.0 OBJECTIVE. Furnish a new BRAND NAME OR EQUAL Modix Big-180X 3D Printer and Ancilary Equipment for the JBLE Innovation Lab within the Bateman Library as authorized and funded by the Spark Tank competition.
1.1 Following purchase of the equipment, the Vendor will ship the equipment, at which point
Library Staff will complete installation. All purchased equipment shall be supported by a one-year manufacturer warranty at no additional cost.
1.2 Existing Conditions. The Bateman Library does not have the equipment necessary to create large-scale 3D prints within the Innovation Lab.
2.0 SCOPE.
2.1 The Vendor shall provide a new BRAND NAME or EQUAL, Modix Big 180-X 3D
Printer and Ancillary Equipment, to include shipping, and an one (1) year manufacturer’s warranty at no additional cost. Please The Vendor shall deliver complete and useable 3D printer and ancillary equipment with complete instruction guide.
2.2 There shall be no deviations or substitutions without prior approval from the Contracting
Officer. The Vendor shall not comply with any order, direction, or request of any government personnel unless it is issued in writing and signed by the Contracting Officer.
2.3 The contractor will repair, replace, or restore to the original condition any item(s) damaged during shipment at no cost to the Government.
3.0 DELIVERY
3.1 All deliveries shall be conducted during hours as coordinated with an on-site representative.
The on-site representative will ensure the Contractor employees and subcontractors have access to the site five days a week, 0800 to 1600, as a minimum, excluding US Federal holidays.
3.2 RECOGNIZED HOLIDAYS: No work will be required on the following recognized Federal
Government Holidays.
a. New Year's Day, January 1
b. Martin Luther King Jr Day, the third Monday in January
c. Presidents’ Day, the third Monday in February
d. Memorial Day, the last Monday in May
e. Juneteenth Day, June 19
e. Independence Day, July 4
f. Labor Day, the first Monday in September
g. Columbus Day or Native American Day, the second Monday in October
h. Veterans’ Day, November 11
i. Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday in November
j. Christmas Day, December 25
k. Any other day designated by Federal statute, executive order, or Presidential proclamation.
4.0 Warranty. The contractor shall provide a one-year warranty at no additional cost. The warranty will commence upon Government purchase of the equipment. The Vendor shall respond to all warranty requests within 72 hours from the initial e-mail or phone call. If available, the vendor shall also provide an extended warranty as referenced in table below.
Vendor will not provide warranty for Government-Furnished or Government-Purchased
Equipment or be responsible for its defectiveness.

4.2 Performance Specifications. Acquired machine should perform within the following specifications and tolerances, while providing proper safety and ventilation for indoor use.
• The 3D printer should provide a print volume (XYZ) of no less than 1,800x600x600mm,
• enclosure,
• IDEX, Z axis guide, tilt screen, and emergency button
• electronic controller with a 32 Bit processor,
• WiFi enabled providing printer access via a PC, tablet or smartphone on a local network
• Fully automatic calibration includes bed tilting, bed leveling, gantry alignment, and Z offset calibration.
• Print head includes PT-1000 temperature sensor, which enables printing in higher temperatures of up to 500°c.
• The hotend components are rated for 500°c and have been verified with printing of up to
340°c.
• Supports both 110V and 230V.
4.3 Authorized Resellers
The Contractor may procure directly from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or utilize other legitimate distribution channels to provide the required acquisition in accordance with the OEM’s policies on reselling. Any contractor’s channel relationships with their OEM partners will be represented in the best pricing offered. If the contractor is not an OEM reseller, the contractor shall clearly identify this on the submitted proposal and list the OEM resale partner’s registered relationship with the OEM. Contracting Officers (COs) may restrict the use of authorized resellers, specific OEMs, or identify required OEMs. The
Contractor shall ensure all products/services are genuine and eligible for any OEM warranties, maintenance agreements, and licensing as offered. Genuine products are those products the OEM, by their policy, considers not “secondary”, destroyed, stolen, or scrapped.
