THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES
ONLY. This announcement closes 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, 8 Jan 2016. This is not a solicitation; the Government is seeking industry interest from Small business sources at this time. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 333923, Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist, and Monorail System Manufacturing, with a corresponding size standard of 500 employees. Interested parties must be registered under NAICS 333923 in SAM (System for Award Management) at www.sam.gov, formerly known as CCR (Central Contractor Registration).
The Government plans to consider all information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice.
The 633d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Langley Eustis, VA (JBLE) is in the process of determining the acquisition strategy to obtain non-personal services for Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair of Cranes and Hoists at Fort Eustis, VA only. JBLE is considered a joint base; however the installations are not geographically joined. Langley AFB and Ft Eustis Army Post are approximately 19 miles apart; Langley is located in Hampton, VA 23665 and Ft Eustis is located in Newport News, VA 23604.
The contractor shall provide all supervision, personnel, equipment, transportation, materials, and other services necessary to perform: recurring inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs for each Crane and Hoist identified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), draft attachment 1.
Performance will consist of one (1) base year, and four (4) one-year option periods. The Government anticipates an award in March 2016. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) release date is to be determined.
Please note: This is an estimated posting timeframe and it is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the Federal Business Opportunity website at www.fbo.gov for all subsequent postings.
The Government is seeking industry interest to determine if there are adequate small business concerns that are capable of performing this requirement. A draft Appendix 1 is posted in conjunction with this sources sough notice to provide the types of cranes and hoist needed for inspections, maintenance and service.
This is not a formal Request for Quotation (RFQ), and no contract will result from this notice, nor does it commit the Government to any acquisition for these services.
