If welding is done on-site, the contractor will properly treat the area again to protect from corrosion. Assemblies that must be lifted shall not exceed the capacity of a 10,000 lb shooting boom forklift.

2.1.5. As much as possible, the contractor shall design for common bolt and hardware sizes and limit the number of different hardware sizes used throughout the roof assembly.

All hardware that penetrates the exterior decking shall include a rubber washer or other waterproofing method.

2.5. The contractor shall provide full shop drawings and diagrams of how the roof truss system is assembled and connected, including a bill of materials detailing each type of part and quantity.

The contractor shall visibly mark the parts in a manner that corresponds to the bill of materials and shop drawings. Parts that require a particular placement or orientation (such as an end truss) shall be clearly identified.

2.6. The contractor shall provide a minimum warranty of 5 years for all parts manufactured.

SECTION 3 – DELIVERY SCHEDULE AND PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

3.1. The complete roof truss system for each facility shall be delivered to each project site upon receiving notification from the US Government that the site is ready for delivery. The contractor will deliver each system to its associated site within 5 business days of the US Government’s notification.

3.2. Contractor shall offload each delivery to the laydown area specified by the US Government.

3.3. Each delivery shall include a bill of materials detailing all parts being delivered. Partial deliveries shall be clearly identified as partial and shall include a bill of materials indicating the parts being delivered and the parts remaining to be delivered.

SECTION 4 – INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE

4.1. The US Government shall verify the quality of parts and match the quantity using the inventory list provided by the contractor with their proposal. Both the US Government representative and the Contractor’s designated person shall sign the inventory and keep a copy for their record.
