About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers file for Building 9118 Demolition at Dyess Air Force Base. The Q&A covers 18 detailed questions about the demolition project, including specific requirements for transformer removal, utilities disconnection, site preparation, and disposal of demolition materials. Key details include: the contractor must remove the transformer and install a junction box, cut and cap plumbing and gas lines at exterior valves, demolish the concrete driveway to the street curb, and remove both parameter and exterior piers. The contractor is responsible for obtaining their own subcontractors, bringing topsoil, and disposing of demolished materials off-base, with specific instructions to refer to environmental specifications for dumping requirements. Access to the base requires proper clearance, and only the building's door is bullet-resistant, not the walls.
