Golf Carts Questions & Answers Question: Would the customer be opposed to the utility carts being Lithium (electric) powered rather than Gas?

(See reasons below why it would benefit them more) Lithium - electric is better for the environment Depending on length of trip electric can last longer on a full charge.

Can go faster: If need be (we can tune them to operate up to 40MPH) Doesn't hesitate going uphill Less Maintenance on electric Saves the customer money - not having to fill up the tanks often.

Better overall Carts, newer and better functioning.

Answer: Yes, the customer is opposed to the use of Lithium (electric) powered operated utility carts.

1. The utility carts will be used at least 12 – 15 hours daily for 25 days. Time to recharge carts is not feasible for customer’s daily schedules. The customer already have refueling schedule established.

2. For safety purposes, carts cannot exceed 25-30MPH during the use of them.

3. The carts will be used on flight lines & flat lands.

4. Vendor need to provide carts that are operable in inclement weather and provide a maintenance plan as stated by the SOW for any cart that becomes inoperable.

Question: In one part the SOW it says that dates needed are from 24 April to 25 May, and later on in the document it reads 24 April to 23 May. Can I get clarification on which dates are accurate?

Answer: . I need them to be Delivered on 25 April and Pick-up on 23 May. The SOW period of performance and RFQ documents have been adjusted to reflect these dates.

Question: CLIN 0003 of the RFQ is Maintenance Support at a quantity of “1” and a unit of “each”. However, Task 2 of the SOW states “In the event of any damages, the contractor will access the damages and report back to the 7 BW Contracting Officer for reimbursement of repairs.”, which makes it appear to a cost-type CLIN. Is the government requesting a firm fixed price (FFP) amount for the total estimated repairs over the course of the period of performance (PoP)? Or is the government requesting a FFP amount per repair? Does the government have maintenance records regarding the quantity and description of repairs? If CLIN 0003 is priced as a FFP for the total amount of estimated repairs over the PoP and maintenance support is to be performed in accordance with Task 2 of the SOW, how does the government intent for the contractor to submit a FFP invoice if the cost may need to be adjusted once any damages are assessed and the extent of the damages/repairs are known?

Answer: The Maintenance need to provide for the coverage of 15. No, the contractor have to assess the damages and provide an invoice that list the damages with cost to repair. The Government has adjusted CLIN 0003 to make CLIN 0003 an Not to Exceed (NTE) cost of $5,000.00.
