Roofing QA
1. Item 1.6.1.4 of the scope of work states the following, "The Contractor shall remove any over spray / high spots with a saw or curry comb." All due care will be taken to minimize overspray and buildup, but the nature of process leaves the finished product with standard high and low spots.
a. What is considered overspray? The over spray will be any spot that gets sprayed that isn’t intended to be sprayed. Example will be if there is a 1’ X 1’ spot that is sprayed on the floor or hvac system. The contractor shall remove that over spray.
b. What is considered a high spot? Understandably there will be high spots and low spots, but the contractor will do the best job to keep high and low spots to a minimum. There shouldn’t be a 4” difference between the highest and lowest.
c. Will the contractor be responsible for removing all insulation sprayed along the edges of the rafters? If so, this will drastically increase the cost of the project.
The Contractors will not need to remove insulation sprayed along the edges of the rafters unless there is a 2” or more build up.
