Questions and Photos of Existing Air Compressor in Building 5020 Questions related to Air Compressor 5020:

· What is the approximate distance between the compressor and the tank?

· The distance between the compressor and the tank is approximately 5-7 feet.

· Is there any special safety training and/or classes required for our installation and commissioning crew?

· The Contractor is not responsible for any training to access the base for the installation or commissioning of the air compressor.

· The Government does require the contractor to provide a basic user operator training (30 Minutes minimum) withing 10 days of the installation completion, SOW para 1.5.

· Is this air compressor and their installation a replacement for existing machines?

Yes, this is a replacement for an existing air compressor Curtis, 60 HP, RS series air compressor.

If yes,

· Does the old unit need to be uninstalled?

· Yes, it currently sits on a metal pallet and is able to be moved via forklift once a Contactor disconnects all the appropriate points. Additionally, the new unit should be placed on a metal pallet (base) for installation.

· Does the old compressor need moved? If so, how far away?

· Yes, it will be moved from the inside location to an outdoor area of grass, located approximately 20 ft away from the original site.

· Does the old unit need to be disposed of?

· No, once the air compressor is relocated, the Government will assume responsibility for the old air compressor.

· However, the contractor is responsible for disposal of all other debris and unserviceable materials generated under this contract such as scrap, salvage material, industrial waste, non-recyclable materials and equipment/material not listed on hand-receipts shall be disposed of off-base by the contractor in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Hand receipt items require turn-in action by the contractor when the listed items have to be replaced, SOW, para.3.

· Is there any other documentation or information about the installation component of this opportunity?

· No, the existing air compressor is a much older unit, we do not have additional information regarding the uninstallation of the old unit or installation of the new unit. We are extending the solicitation end date and offering a site visit on 31 August 2022 at 0900. Please RSVP at Christi.Murphy.1@us.af.mil. Additionally, we have provided photos.
