1. When evaluating success in prescribing the use of recovered materials and achieving waste reduction and energy efficiency in facility design are we evaluating on energy efficiency projects or just general reduction and energy efficiency in designs?
Answer: When rating this criteria we attempt to look at the firms entire body of work which would include energy efficiency projects if they have done any. If not just explain how you incorporate waste reduction and energy efficiency in your designs. Since this is a Civil Engineering design contract we would envision that most of the projects you submit on will not be energy projects. However, the DoD is mandated to achieve waste reduction and energy reduction standards therefore we would like to see that our designers know how to incorporate these requirements into their designs.
2. Is there a requirement for Licensing in the State of Montana?
Answer: Licensing in the State of Montana is a requirement. An intent disclaimer would be taken into consideration during the evaluation process.
3. Are there construction phase services such as inspection and any associated materials (geotechnical) testing services anticipated with the possible assignments?
Answer: Typically construction phase services are not required; however, in the current environment we may need to tap into these services on this contract.
