Fire Truck Pump Repair Performance Work Statement (PWS)
24 August 2018
1.0 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
1.1 This PWS defines the effort required by the contractor for the repair of pumping system on the 15 C 96 RIV Fire Fighting Vehicle. The Contractor shall provide the facility, all labor, tools and parts to replace the High Pressure Pump and damaged components to make the High Pressure Foam/Water Pumping System operational. The Government will deliver the vehicle to the contractor’s facility to commence repairs.
1.2 Please provide a proposal that provides an efficient solution to the requirement as outlined in the
PWS.
2.0 Operational Requirements and Specific Tasks
2.1 The contractor shall replace all damaged components including but not limited to Hale Pump, swollen piping, hoses, valves, vitalic couplers and wiring to make the pumping system operational.
A list of anticipated parts is provided in Attachment 1; this list is provided for use in quote preparation but is not considered all inclusive. The contractor will return all damaged parts to Vehicle Maintenance upon completion of the contract.
2.2 The Contractor will function test the replaced Pump assembly and operate the foam, water and bumper turret systems to ensure they function properly. Testing will insure the foam, water, and turret meets the volume, flow rate, and pressure whether pumping from hydrant, draft or other external water sources. Written test results will be provided to Vehicle Maintenace when repair is completed. The contrator will provide a 1 year written warranty upon completion of the work.
2.3 The contractor shall be able to complete all the tasks listed above. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable federal laws, codes, regulations, and statutes. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to obtain and adhere to all applicable federal standards.
3.0 Subcontract Management
3.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for any subcontract management necessary to integrate work performed on this requirement and shall be responsible and accountable for subcontractor performance on this requirement.
