Questions & Answers #16‐17

QUESTION #16 ‐ Can a small business with a NAICS code 541330 submit their qualifications as the prime? We plan to have a small business, with NAICS code of 541310 as a subcontractor on our team.

To clarify, can a small business with a NAICS code of 541330, who plans to use at least one sub with a NAICS code of 541310, submit their qualifications as the prime?

ANSWER #16 – To be eligible for award as a small business, the prime contractor must represent in good faith that it is a small business under the applicable NAICS code and size standard at the time of the written representation. The applicable NAICS and size standard for this acquisition is 541310 and $7.5M, respectively. Please refer to www.sba.gov or your local U.S. Small Business Administration office for any additional questions or information on determining business size.
