Parts List For

SkyWatch Tower

Fairchild AFB, WA

1. BACKGROUND: The 92 SFS has found the need for mobile security towers to enhance the visual assessments and security of multiple events. The higher ground gives the security member a better vantage and reduces the need for more personnel. The addition of thermal and infrared cameras increases sight pictures during low visibility the human eyes alone would be unable to attain. The need for the towers to be mobile will allow the afore mentioned capabilities to exist even among the growth and changes of the installation.

2. OBJECTIVES: The objective is to obtain an updated SkyWatch tower to enhance our existing inventory of security towers, ensuring their continued effectiveness for the foreseeable future. The towers have been employed to decrease manning requirements while maximizing visibility, effectively engaging hostile forces at a distance from critical resources during operational missions. Additionally, they serve as integral components during aerial demonstration events like sky festivals.
