About this file

This is a Draft Statement of Work (SOW) for Vertical Carousels at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. The document outlines the replacement of aging vertical carousel filing systems across multiple base locations. The contractor will remove existing carousels by disassembling and disposing of debris in accordance with local, federal, and state regulations, while returning serviceable parts to the government. Seven vertical carousels are to be replaced - four under the main contract (Carousels C, E, F, and H) and three as optional replacements (Carousels G, IPE, and Envision).

The specific requirements include installing new Kardex Megamat RS 350 vertical carousels with 16-23 multipurpose carriers, each 120-124" wide, 70-72" deep, and 17-25' high. Each carousel must have a 12-15" deep worksurface, emergency hand crank, automatic chain tensioner, access opening light, and safety-light curtain. A certified electrician must disconnect and reconnect power, and the contractor must provide forklift and scissor lift for installation. The work must be completed within 120 days after receipt of order, with additional requirements including saving the power supply and display panel from existing units and properly disposing of old equipment.
