About this file
This document is Amendment 0002 to Solicitation FA462024QA214 for Hoist and Crane Maintenance Services at Fairchild Air Force Base.
The amendment provides answers to questions from offerors regarding the contract requirements. It clarifies that there are currently no Category 1 cranes or hoists requiring monthly and annual inspections. It also states that a fire foam testing certification is not currently required, but manufacturer's certifications may be needed for specific equipment. The amendment confirms that there are no other assets located off base besides items 49 and 53 on the list. Lastly, it specifies that the replacement parts listed, such as cables, chains, and brakes, fall under CLIN 0011, Reimbursable Parts & Rental Equipment.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES
The purpose of this Amendment is to answer questions:
Q1: 3.1 Inspection, Maintenance, Repair and Certification of Cranes / Hoists Can you please identify which cranes/hoists are classified as Category 1 and Category 4?
A1: Category 1 Cranes and Hoists as per the PWS, require monthly and annual inspections. As per the attached Workload data sheet, no Cranes or Hoists require monthly inspections, so none of the current Cranes or Hoists are Category 1 at the time of this email.
Q2: 10.23 Contractor Qualifications We as a company don’t possess a current and up-to-date fire foam testing certificate and manufactures’ certifications. Can you explain what this is and if we will he under the direct supervision of someone that does?
A2: There is currently no Cranes or Hoists in Building 1007 (which is the only building on base with a foam fire system), so a foam fire certification is currently not required. If the manufacturer has a certification requirement to do maintenance on a specific piece of equipment, then that manufacturer’s certification would still be required, as per para 4.23 of the PWS.
Q3: Besides number 49 and 53 on the list of units are there any other assets off base?
A3: No.
Q4: Based on the highlighted portion, do the listed replacement parts for example cables, wire rope, chains, clutches, brakes, etc. shown here fall under the CLIN 0011 or do we need to list this dollar amount out under a different CLIN?
A4: Yes, they fall under CLIN 0011, Reimbursable Parts & Rental Equipment
Fill out blocks 15a, 15b, and 15c and provide a copy with your proposal.
