FA462022QA109 Attachment 1 – Salient Characteristics

PPE Hardmount PPE Washer-Extractor

92 CES/CEF has a requirement for the delivery and installation and initial set up of a Hardmount Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Washer-Extractor for Fire House No. 1 at Fairchild Air Force Base. The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and other materials to install the extractor to include initial set up. The contractor shall perform in accordance with all federal, state, local laws and regulations and manufacturer's recommendations, specifications, operator and maintenance manuals and with

NFPA 1851.

1. Input voltage: X: 200-240/50- 60/1/3; 2/3 wire plus ground.

2. Minimum Dry weight capacity 65lbs

3. Selectable wash speeds

4. Selectable extract speeds such that the g-force can be adjusted to not exceed 100G.

5. Programmable:

a. Cycles

b. Water levels

c. Graphic display

d. Maintenance and Management reports

6. Wi-Fi Internet connectivity capability

7. Temperature controlled fill and water monitoring

8. Diagnostic capabilities

9. Bearing Protection

Additionally, the washer-extractor machine shall meet the following standards IAW NFPA 1851:

7.3.5 (1) The washer/extractor shall be programmable to permit multiple formulations for adjustments of detergent application, water temperature, water level, cycle type/function, and cycle time.

(2) The washer/extractor shall not have a g-force that exceeds 100G or shall have the capability of drum revolutions per minute (RPM) adjustment such that the g-force can be adjusted to not exceed 100G for all washed ensembles and ensemble elements.

7.3.9 (4) Water temperature shall not exceed 40°C (105°F).

(5) The specific formulation for the washer/extractor shall include a series of steps for filling the wash basket, adding detergent, performing multiple rinses, and including separate extractions between wash and rinse steps.
