Amendment 0001 Page 2

SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions reference the type lock an keys required.

Q1. Can you provide any more information on these RFQ? I believe what is listed below is for a Kaba

Gemini. However, they are usually used in Europe. Are these the keys you are wanting for this RFQ?

A1: “No. That is not the lock/key type we are looking for. The lock needs to accept the sample keys the government will provide (per the salient characteristics) which are a more simple version found in many eastern countries. The Western/European locks may not be capable of being keyed to fit our current keys.” See example below:

The picture above is a resemblance of the product type we are looking for possible might be manufacturers are Steel Mark, KABA/DormKABA, Abloy, Abus or ELIS. Those manufacturers may or may not be able to meet the salient characteristics.

Q2: What does “PRA must be able to control the specific key cut for each lock” mean, what must the government be able to control?

A2. We already have many of these locks and our keys we have must be able to be used in the new locks.

Q3: Does the lock have to be a shackle type or disc type padlock and can the padlock body be brass or steel?

A3. Must be shackle type. We currently have brass but if the lock works with our keys we already have it doesn’t matter if it is brass or steel.

Q4: Is there a preference to the lock manufacturer such as Steel Mark, KABA, Abloy, Abus or ELIS?

A4. Preference would be Steel Mark. Current locks are model PK 100 from Steel Mark. Keys pictured in answer 1 are the key type required and will be provided by the government for all new locks to be keyed to match the governments existing keys.

Please remember to complete Blocks 8 and 15a, 15b, and 15c of this amendment.
