1. How many cameras are in each dorm and what will be the total camera count that we will be responsible for maintaining during the semi-annual maintenance time?

2. What is the network connectivity between the individual dorms and the current location of the DVR's currently used?

A. Each dorm has its own DVR and the signal is transmitted from the camera over a wire to DVR

3. Where is the location or locations that are required to view the cameras and is there a network established to see all video from the various DVR's?

A. No network, each dorm has its own DVR room

4. How many viewing stations will the Air Force have or want to have during the life of the contract?

A. Each dorm has its own viewing station in the DVR room.

5. Item 1.2 of the PWS states to establish pricing for a quantity of 3 32 channel DVR's, 1 16 Channel DVR, 2 UPS and 20 cameras. Is it the intention of the Air Force to remain using the Pelco brand or compatible DVR's and analog cameras? Is there an option to transition to an IP based system with an NVR and IP multi-megapixel cameras?

A. It states we can migrate to other brands as long as it is compatible with the system.

6. Is there an IP network established between the dorms now that could be shared as a VLAN establishment to support an IP based camera system?

A. No IP or VLAN system.

7. Pricing for CLIN 0002 calls for Lot pricing, does the Air Force want a breakdown per component list used to achieve the lot price included in the proposal?

A. Provide the brand and a cost of projected DVR, camera and UPS equipment planning to utilize.

8. PWS item 1.7 discusses 24 hours response times to maintenance calls and item 1.8 discusses issuing a work order to replace items with compatible equipment. How will the Air Force account for system or camera outage and emergency repair without an established service call price outside the semi-annual maintenance period?

A. Paragraph 1.7 will be removed from the PWS.

10. List of equipment for each Bldg - including model, manufacturer, quantity.

11. The UPS does not list the minimum run time required during a power loss event. Please stipulate the minimum run time standard for these units to be effective?

A. UPS must run for 120 minutes.

12. The DVR’s do not list a minimum required storage capacity. Please clarify by establishing a minimum standard of storage required?

A. Minimum standard of 1 terabyte with removable hard drive.

13. What is the total number of down cameras, DVR’s power supplies, expansion units, or UPS systems that we will be responsible for repairing during the first semi-annual maintenance time.

A. The new contractor will be responsible for replacing/repairing of non-working items up to the quantities identified in paragraph 1.2. of the PWS.

14. Item 1.2 of the PWS states to establish pricing for a quantity of 3 32 channel DVR’s, 1 16 Channel DVR, 2 UPS and 20 cameras. Is the CLIN Lot pricing required to be broke down on a per item basis during submittal?

A. A total “Lot” price is required on the SF 1449 (Solicitation). A breakdown of costs is also required per paragraph 1.2. of the PWS, this can be submitted on company letterhead.

15. The PWS does not account for training time of Air Force’s personnel for upgraded equipment and user changes. How will training time be conducted for users of the upgraded systems once installed?

A. Training has been added to paragraph 1.1. of the PWS

16. Who will be responsible for covering the repair of the non-working CCTV items at this time? Will it be the current vendor or new vendor?

B. The new contractor will be responsible for replacing/repairing of non-working items up to the quantities identified in paragraph 1.2. of the PWS.

17. Item 1.2 only mentions the replacing of DVR’s UPS’s and Cameras. What isn’t mentioned is camera mounts (external wall-mounts, flush mounts, ceiling mounts), camera power supplies, baluns or cable issues. Will the new vendor be allowed to invoice for these items as required to return the CCTV to full functionality?

A. Paragraph 1.2. of the PWS was updated to include “associated/miscellaneous equipment” which would include the above referenced materials.

18. Current Equipment Status.

220- DVR1 Hard drive- crashed 222- 1 Bad UPS and DVR 1 has 2 bad cameras C5(1-5) and C7(1-7) 223- 0% working. 2 Bad UPS DVR 1 and 2 have crashed 224- 2 bad UPS. DVR2 has multiple bad cameras, C1(C17), C2(C18), C5(C21), C6(C22), C10(C26) 226- 2 bad UPS. DVR 2 bad cameras C69C22) and C16(C32). DVR3 Bad cameras, C3(C35), C8(C40) and C12(C44) 228- SFS investigations has door taped off for investigation, cannot check at this time.

230- 1 bad UPS. DVR1 bad cameras C7 and C8. DVR2 not working but not crashed. DVR3 bad camera C1 244- DVR1 bad cameras C1, C2, C4, C8, C9, C14, C15. DVR2 and 3 are dead.

248- Monitor Bad. 1 UPS bad. DVR1 Dead. DVR2 and 3 video loss on all cameras. 0% working
