Solicitation Number: FA461024Q0014 Question and Answer Template

1. Question: It states in Attachment 1- PWS that all licenses and permits are required with the proposal. This would include the Secret Facility Clearance needed for this contract. What do you recommend is the most efficient way that our company is able to obtain one while still in the proposal stage and in a timely manner before this contract expires?

Answer:

Contracting can sponsor for the Facility Clearance. The government/ contracting can only submit during solicitation if access to classified is actually needed during that phase. Once a contract is actually awarded, we can submit the FCL package but depending on the complexity of the company (i.e., foreign ownership, joint ventures, etc.), there is no telling how long it could take and we don’t own the process or decision.

Sponsorship may not be a suitable option in this case.
