About this file

This document is an Amendment 01 for Solicitation FA460825QC062 for Tiger Teeth, issued by the 2d Contracting Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base. The amendment provides a comprehensive Question and Answers document clarifying specific details about the procurement. Key clarifications include confirmation that the tiger teeth are for traffic control, color specifications (red housing with yellow teeth), coverage requirements (five to six traffic lanes across five roadways), and installation details (surface-mounted on both concrete and asphalt).

The solicitation is a small business set-aside for 26 tiger teeth units for the AFGSC/2 Security Force Squadron, with a response deadline of 1:30 PM CDT on 24 April 2025. Vendors are advised that the government already has road signs and speed bumps, and end caps are required for the traffic control system. For further questions, vendors can contact Contract Specialist AB Millye Santiago-Cruz at (318) 456-1353 or millye.santiago-cruz@us.af.mil.

MEMORANDUM FOR Vendors/Offerors

SUBJECT: Amendment 01, FA460825QC062, Tiger Teeth

1. The purpose of issuing Amendment 01 is to provide supplemental information in the form of a Question and Answers document. The following questions were submitted to 2 CONS and the answers to each are highlighted below in red:

Question 1: Can you please confirm by tiger teeth you’re referring to the traffic control system or the heavy machinery bucket attachment.

Answer 1: Yes, the tiger teeth are for traffic control.

Question 2: For the color, red, are you referring to just the teeth or the entire unit including the housing?

Answer 2: The housing needs to be red and the teeth themselves yellow.

Question 3: How many roadways are you looking to cover?

Answer 3: We are looking to cover five roadways.

Question 4: Will you need any signs or speed bumps to go along with the traffic spikes?

Answer 4: No, we already have road signs and speed bumps.

Question 5: Will this be installed on concrete or asphalt?

Answer 5: Both concrete and asphalt as to each roadway is made of different material.

Question 6: Do you require end caps for the traffic spikes? The end caps close out the ends and would be on either end of each run of spikes. For example, you are covering 5 roadways, I would suggest including 5 sets of end caps.

Answer 6: Yes, we would need the end caps for the tiger teeth.

Question 7: Would you need just one set? (How many total lines of traffic?)

Answer 7: We are going to need enough to cover a total of five to six lanes of traffic.

Question 8: Do you want the tiger teeth in the ground, or mounted to surface, also would you

FA460825QC062, Tiger Teeth, Amendment 01 like bevel end caps?

Answer 8: We would like to mount these tiger teeth on the surface of the ground. As far as end caps we don’t have a preference.

2. The due date and time of 1:30 PM CDT on 24 April 2025 remains unchanged for Solicitation

FA460825QC062.
